An article published on Devex on June 16, 2014 reports that in the second issue of its semiannual report on global economic forecasts, the World Bank reduced its estimate of developing countries’ growth from 5.3% to 4.8%. “Excluding China and India, growth is at a much slower 2.9% – a figure that reflects the increasingly large role that the two economies play in their respective regions and among developing countries as a whole.”
