On June 12, 2016 South China Morning Post reported on new listing requirements for Hong Kong listed companies, requiring companies to report on environmental, social and governance (ESG) policies and compliance with laws as well as regulations.  According to South China Morning Post, “(m)andatory disclosures by Hong Kong companies about policies and how they plan to tackle operational risks will have far-reaching implications for the environment, society.”
