During the 11th Baltic Market Awards Ceremony held on January 26, 2017 Nasdaq Baltic issuers of bonds and equity with the best investor relations over the past year were recognized. The winners were announced and honored during a live ceremony with a video bridge linking Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius.
The Estonian water utility Tallinna Vesi received the award for Best Investor Relations in the Baltics 2016 – for the fourth consecutive year. It also was awarded Best Reporting Company in 2016. Furthermore, for the first time two companies scored exactly the same in the category Best Interactive Investor Relations 2016: Tallinna Vesi shared the award with the Latvian shipping company Latvijas kuģniecība.
Apranga, the Lithuanian clothing retailer, was named the winner in the category Best Investor Relations According to Market Professionals 2016.
Klaipėdos nafta, the Lithuanian state-owned oil loading company, received the award for Most Visible Improvement over Three Years.
For the first time an award was given to the Best Investor Relations of a Bond Issuer. The award was won by the Latvian stated-owned energy company Latvenergo, who was invited to ring the opening bell at Nasdaq MarketSite in New York later this year.
LHV Pank from Estonia was recognized as the most active and dedicated financial intermediary on the Baltic market winning the Member of the Year 2016 for the fifth time within the 11-year spam of the Baltic Market Awards.

I would like to congratulate all the winners and nominees who have shown excellence in investor relations and serve as inspiring role models.”
In 2016, 45 Baltic share issuers and nine bond issuers were evaluated according to 160 criteria. Geoffrey Mazullo, Principal, Emerging Markets ESG, is Chair of the Baltic Market Awards Evaluation Committee.
