In early April 2017, Emerging Markets ESG entered the 2,000th event into its socially responsible investment (SRI) contact database. The conferences/events worksheet of the database now contains 2,012 entries: 297 webinars and 1,715 conferences, seminars, summits or training programs in 79 countries.
In 2016, Emerging Markets ESG added 239 new conference/events to the database. During the first three and a half months of 2017, Emerging Markets ESG has added 108 events. Geoffrey Mazullo, Principal, Emerging Markets ESG notes, “The number of events continues to increase and the geographical coverage of the events continues to expand. Today, more events focus on ESG integration in mainstream financial institutions – analyzing themes such as carbon, human rights and water as well as norms-based SRI strategies like the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).”
In July 2017 the 24th edition of the database will be published on the research page of the Emerging markets ESG internet site. The 23rd edition of the database – published in January 2017 – can be found here.
