In April 2017 Greenwich Associates and OFI Global Asset Management, an OppenheimerFunds company, published a new study. It presents the results of a survey of institutional investors in emerging markets, asking them “how emerging market investing has changed and how they expect the asset class to evolve in the next decade.” The survey was conducted from November 2016 to February 2017, primarily of US institutional investors: “37 corporate pensions, 32 public pensions, 25 endowments/foundations, and 15 defined contribution plans, as well as representation from the ranks of union plans and investment consultants.”
The report presents these investors’ attitudes towards active management, allocation, concerns (risks) and evolution of the economy in emerging markets as well as ESG integration into the emerging markets asset class.
