“Most big users failing on cotton sustainability: report” – Reuters – June 7, 2016

On June 7, 2016 Reuters published an article about a recent report by Rank a Brand that claims that most companies using cotton have not addressed environmental sustainability in their supply chain.  “29 of the estimated 37 biggest cotton users scored red in the survey of policy, sourcing, use and traceability.”  According to the report, the following standards were deemed sustainable:  Better Cotton, Cotton Made in Africa, Fairtrade and Organic.
