On January 29, 2017 Manifest reported that the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI) has published an exposure draft of a Stewardship Code for Insurers in India. Comments are to be submitted to the IRDAI by February 15, 2017.
Separately, Manifest reported that the Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria has suspended the National Code of Corporate Governance (NCCG). A new chief executive officer (CEO) of the FRC was appointed effective January 9, 2017.
